Elementary School

Beginning Theatre is comprised of students in Grade 1 - Grade 6. This course is designed to foster artistic expression and interpersonal skills amongst students and introduce them to theatrical concepts in preparation for high-level theatre courses. Through energetic and fun-filled games and exercises, students will develop skills to appreciate, interpret and create theatre with artistic intent. Students will collaborate on creative projects, engage in classroom discussions and performances, and analyze dramatic literature.

Middle & High School

Musical Theatre is comprised of students in Grades 7-8. It is a fun-filled and imaginative way for students to exercise artistic expression and build confidence. In this class, devoted to the art of musical theater, students draw on foundational skills such as reading, writing, and problem-solving as they study musical theatre history, analyze character and plot, and develop their performance skills through voice, movement, and choreography. Students will have the opportunity to perform a solo musical theatre performance as well as collaborate with their classmates for a duet, trio, and large-scale musical performance.

High School Theatre Arts is comprised of students in Grades 9-12. This honors-style course boasts an energetic and interactive classroom setting and is designed to equip students with advanced detailed acting methodology, movement, and vocal techniques. This is accomplished through lecture and dialogue, but focuses primarily on practical application through the production of a published work. Students hone their performance, collaborative, and analytical skills through in-class workshops, classroom discussions, analyses of dramatic literature, and theatrical performances.
